A ferry service in Finland has adopted a digital signage network from CAYIN to promote advertising messages in its retail areas.

Tallink Star Shuttle required signage for its newest ferry, the M/S Star, which included 29 displays in different sizes. The displays are connected to a networked SMP-PRO2 media player, and the entire system is controlled via a web-based user interface on CAYIN’s CMS content management server. In total, there are ten displays showing varying menus and price tickers, customisable digital displays with prices and advertisements, and digital signage showing advertisements in the entrance, shop areas, and the ice-cream bar, hamburger bar, pizzeria and snack bar.

The digital signage will be seen by the maximum 1,900 passengers which the M/S Star is able to accommodate on the two-hour trip between Helsinki and Tallin.

The CAYIN technology was chosen by audio-visual company Electrosonic Lightinen for the project.
